The temperatures outside are rising and summer is on its way. Do you ever want to go out for a nice cool treat, but it just feels too hot to even venture outside? These days, I prefer to make all of my meals and treats from the comfort of my own home, so I’m always open to meal and dessert recipes. Sometimes I get a craving for a classic Wendy’s Frosty with some crispy golden French Fries, but you couldn’t talk me into driving anywhere in the heat for any reason. Now one of my favorite afternoon treats is right at my fingertips – with only three ingredients and a blender, I can make a delicious copycat Wendy’s Frosty in a pinch.
This recipe calls for whole milk, but feel free to use any milk or even dairy-free milk substitute for this recipe. The ice cream needs to be just slightly thawed – not runny. Ideally, the Frosty should be kept between 19 and 21 degrees to maintain it’s consistency. If it gets any warmer though, don’t worry. It will just taste more like a milkshake which isn’t a bad thing at all.

- 4 cups vanilla ice cream (softened slightly)
- 1 cup whole milk
- 8-9 tsp Nesquik powder
Add all of the ingredients into the blender and cover with the lid. Blend until smooth and creamy. You may have to scrape the sides of the blender once, then blend again.
Pour into serving glasses and serve with a straw or a spoon.
- Keep the frosty between 19 and 21 degrees Fahrenheit to achieve its true consistency.
- Feel free to use your favorite non-dairy milk or low-fat versions of these ingredients.
